The route

It was Sunday, and the cyclist couple went to the Holy Mass. I passed the curch on my way, and there was some other touring bicycles parked outside the church. I pedalled on and sticked to the Green Velo route all the way until Braniewo. It was some gravel again, but it was so easy just to follow the signs. And today there was almost no wind, cloudy but warm. Just perfect. I felt so happy riding across the fields and forests.

I reached the sea reached in Frombork. It is a touristic village with a castle and a busy sea shore. I considered having a lunch, but I ended up just buying some more yoghurt to go.

I followed the Green Velo with some more gravel roads until the MOR at the side of the road nr 504. I had a break, and chatted with two other Polish cyclists. An older woman said she was from Gdansk and just for a short trip. I continued along the road 504. There were wonderful forests, and then a long downhill to sea-side village of Tolkmisko. And back uphill, it was several kilometers of climbing, the longest climb of this tour. But it wasn’t steep, and cycled in a nice pace.

Then I rode the straightest way to Elblag. There’s a nice camping ground by the channel, very close to the old town. It is a good place to stay; just a small plot for tents right by the channel, very cozy.

I was a bit unlucky with the dinner, the nearby Biedronka supermarket just closed so I went to a restaurant. I bought some bread and yoghurt for the breakfast at a small shop that was luckily on the way.

At the camp, I sat by the channel for a while and enjoyed the nice evening.
